Responsibilities
- Manage the daily data extraction process, transform data according to business logic, and load it into the relevant target databases with high accuracy.
- Ensure this process is monitored and maintained in accordance with agreed SLAs with business units, ensuring timely data availability.
Troubleshoot and recover daily ETL processes while conducting root cause analysis. Perform daily revenue assurance activities in Business Intelligence (BI).
- Coordinate with source owners and business stakeholders to resolve issues, and escalate or liaise with relevant vendors/partners for technical support.
- Recommend new technologies and tools to optimize Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) operations.
- Design and implement ETL processes for new source system integrations. Develop accurate and efficient dimensional models by analyzing end-user reporting requirements.
- Maintain detailed records in the Hadoop ecosystem and manage summarized data in the Data Warehouse.
- Perform periodic application patch upgrades and collaborate with the OS team to implement necessary OS updates.
- Ensure system maintenance, conduct regular vulnerability assessments, manage storage, and oversee security risk management for all BI systems.
- Take responsibility for the availability and operational status of all BI and ETL layers.
- Maintain cloud platform security, ensuring data protection and implementing role-based access control.
- Research industry best practices and collaborate with internal and external teams on R&D initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain audit documentation to comply with ISMS (Information Security Management System) standards
Expected Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or IT.
- Proficiency in RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data technologies and knowledge of data quality, data management concepts, and clustering technologies.
- 2+ years of experience in ETL tools and pipeline development using Scala, Java, Python, or open-source tools.
- Experience with ETL tools like OWB and Informatica & Strong SQL skills, including PL/SQL and T-SQL.
- Experience with Hadoop, Impala, and Hive & familiarity with BI tools such as Qlik, OBIEE, SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau
- Proficiency in Linux environments and Shell scripting & experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and clustering technologies.
